The AP-D12ZS extends the reach of an EVAC voice alarm system. Each station adds 12 zones of remote paging, and up to 32 remote microphones can be connected in a loop, taking total capacity to 120 zones.
A loop connection rather than a spur is significant for life safety: a single cable break does not isolate the stations beyond it, because the signal reaches them from the other direction.
LED indicators show which zone is active, so the operator has direct confirmation of where an announcement is going — not a detail to leave to memory during an incident.
The gooseneck microphone covers 80Hz-16kHz with signal-to-noise of 70dB or better and distortion under 1% at 1kHz. The full-metal black desktop unit measures 150 x 260 x 55mm at under 1.5kg on 5V DC, drawing under 3W, rated -20°C to 70°C.
