Explosion proof outdoor horn speaker rated 15W, EN54 and EXd compliant, in a stainless steel enclosure delivering 115dB at 1W/1M for hazardous industrial areas.
The AP-H115EX is specified where an ordinary speaker is a hazard: fuel storage, chemical processing, gas handling and similar sites where an electrical fault could ignite the atmosphere around it.
EXd explosion proof construction contains any internal ignition within the housing, and EN54 compliance covers its use as part of a voice evacuation system — the two requirements that usually have to be met together on industrial sites.
Output reaches 115dB at 1W/1M, unusually high even for a horn, which is what allows announcements to carry over plant machinery. Response covers 350Hz-10kHz, focused entirely on speech intelligibility.
Rated 25W maximum with 15W and 10W taps on 70V or 100V line. The stainless steel enclosure measures 250mm diameter x 315mm at under 4kg with a dust cover, mounting to wall, pole, ceiling or shade structure on a U-shaped bracket.
