Rack-mount monitor panel for checking up to 16 speaker channels through a built-in loudspeaker, with graphic LCD dB level metering per channel.
The AP-D404 lets an operator hear and see what is actually going out on 16 speaker lines. A built-in full-range 500mW monitor speaker reproduces the selected channel, and graphic LCD meters show level across five steps so a dead or distorted line is spotted before anyone complains about it.
Monitoring takes 100V or 70V audio directly from the speaker lines, meaning the panel reports what the speakers receive rather than what the source sent — the distinction that matters when a fault lies downstream of the amplifier.
Monitor volume is set across seven levels controlled from the AP-D400 master unit, with a local power switch and volume controls on the panel. Signal-to-noise is 80dB.
The 2U full-metal chassis measures 89 x 483 x 366mm at under 8kg, rack or table mounted, on a 200-240V AC supply with fuse protection. A 0V trigger output is provided for power activation of connected equipment.
