Rack-mount 16 zone paging selector with four priority levels, cascading to eight units for larger systems, with a built-in message recorder holding two messages.
The AP-D407 routes paging to the right part of a building. Sixteen zones are selectable at the unit, and up to eight units cascade for sites that outgrow a single selector.
Four priority levels decide what happens when several sources want the system at once — an emergency trigger, a management page and background music cannot all win, and the priority structure settles it without an operator.
A built-in IC recorder stores two messages up to 180 seconds total, played on a 0V short signal, so routine or emergency announcements can be triggered without anyone at a microphone.
Microphone input is 600 ohm 5mV unbalanced with a 10k ohm 330mV line input. Siren and recorded message output runs 100Hz-3.4kHz ±3dB while microphone and audio inputs cover 60Hz-16kHz. Signal-to-noise is better than 70dB, distortion under 0.1% at 1kHz. The 2U full-metal chassis runs on 200-240V AC and 24V DC at under 15W.
