Remote paging microphone station for the AP-D407 selector, addressing 16 zones directly and up to 128 loudspeaker lines across eight selectors, at ranges to 600 metres.
The AP-D408 is the microphone end of an AP-D407 paging system. Sixteen zone keys sit under the operator's hand, and with the address selector the station reaches up to 128 loudspeaker lines across eight cascaded AP-D407 selectors.
Communication distance runs to 600 metres, which puts the station wherever the people are — a gatehouse, a warehouse office, a remote reception — rather than tethering it to the rack room.
A built-in chime tone precedes announcements, and indicators cover all 16 zones, the eight speaker selectors and microphone on/off state, so the operator can see exactly where a page is going before speaking.
Microphone input is 600 ohm 5mV unbalanced with a 10k ohm 10V balanced line output. Response is 60Hz-16kHz ±3dB with signal-to-noise better than 70dB and distortion under 0.1% at 1kHz. The full-metal unit measures 70 x 238 x 170mm at under 3.5kg on 24V DC at under 8W.
