Rack-mount lightning arrestor protecting four 70V/100V loudspeaker lines at up to 20A per channel, with a 30kA rated discharge current for outdoor speaker runs.
The AP-D415 protects a PA system from what comes back down the speaker cable. Outdoor loudspeaker runs act as aerials in a thunderstorm, and a single strike on a car park or sports field line can destroy the amplifier it terminates at.
Four independent channels each handle a 70V or 100V loudspeaker line at up to 20A, with a rated discharge current of 30kA and overload protection across a 165-300V peak range.
Because each channel is independent, a surge on one line does not take out the protection for the others — the system loses at most one zone rather than the whole rack.
An alarm active output (0V signal) reports a protection event so the fault is known rather than discovered later. Leakage protection is 10mA and lightning protection meets IEC529/EN60 to IP20. The 2U full-metal chassis is 89 x 483 x 390mm at under 10kg, on 200-240V AC with 24V DC.
