The AP-D414 is the answer to a failed amplifier in a system that cannot go quiet. It monitors five main amplifier channels and switches the affected zone to a backup amplifier automatically when a failure is detected — before anyone notices the zone has gone silent.
Detection works by checking both input and output (50mV over 20ms in, 100mV over 20ms out), so it identifies a genuine amplifier fault rather than a period of no programme material.
Manual operation lets a technician transfer a zone deliberately for amplifier maintenance or an upgrade, keeping the zone live while work proceeds.
Inputs cover six audio source channels and five main amplifier channels, with five speaker channel outputs switching up to 150V/20A. Indicators show normal, fault and switch status per channel. The 2U full-metal chassis is 89 x 483 x 390mm at under 10kg, on 200-240V AC and 24V DC.
