6-inch fire resistant wall cabinet speaker certified to EN54-24 and BS5839, in a full metal enclosure with 6W/3W/1.5W taps on 70V/100V line.
The AP-W56FS is the wall-mounted member of AVTRON's EN54 fire resistant range, for voice evacuation in buildings where ceiling installation is not possible — exposed structures, plant rooms, corridors with solid soffits.
Certification to EN54-24 and BS5839 is what allows it into an evacuation circuit; a general purpose cabinet speaker cannot be substituted regardless of how similar it looks.
The full metal cabinet with metal back cover both meets the fire requirement and acts as a proper sealed enclosure, which is why it reproduces background music better than an open-backed speaker of the same size.
The 6-inch paper woofer covers 120Hz-10kHz at 92dB sensitivity with maximum output to 102dB. Taps are 6W, 3W and 1.5W on 70V or 100V line. The 160 x 160 x 60mm cabinet weighs under 1.5kg in red or grey white RAL 7035.
