Eight channel speaker line supervision unit monitoring open circuit, short circuit and impedance, with automatic changeover of one backup amplifier across eight main amplifiers.
The AP-D68LSC does the two jobs a certified voice alarm system cannot go without: proving the speaker lines are intact, and keeping audio running when an amplifier fails.
Eight speaker lines are supervised for open circuit, short circuit and impedance deviation of ±10%, with faults reported by indicator, buzzer and contact output. Detection takes under two seconds per zone, with amplifier failure detected in under one second and changeover completed in under one second.
One backup amplifier covers all eight main amplifiers, which is far more economical than duplicating every amplifier while still guaranteeing that no zone goes silent.
Supervision uses a 20kHz pilot tone above the audible range on 50V, 70V or 100V speaker lines, so monitoring runs continuously without anyone hearing it. Zone capacity is 500W per 100V line with 8A loading capacity, expandable to 192 zones by DIP switch ID, with RS485 and a contact output. Power is 24V DC.
