The AP-AW540 is a self-contained stereo pair — the amplifier is built into the speakers, so a room gets local music and paging without any rack equipment at all.
That suits the meeting room, small gym, showroom or classroom that sits outside the main PA system, or a space added after the original installation where running speaker line back to a plant room is not worth the disruption.
Inputs cover two RCA, a stereo 3.5mm jack, a microphone input and a line input, so a laptop, a phone and a microphone can all connect at once. Treble and bass are adjustable ±10dB at the speaker.
Two-way 5-inch and 1.5-inch drivers deliver 20W per channel at 8 ohms across 20Hz-20kHz ±0.5dB, with signal-to-noise better than 95dB and 0.05% distortion. Black ABS enclosures with metal grilles measure 250 x 185 x 170mm with built-in wall brackets.
