Rack-mount emergency panel broadcasting a stored voice alarm message automatically on an external trigger or manual button press, with microphone and line inputs for recording.
The AP-Z221 holds a site's emergency message and plays it the moment it is needed — triggered by an external alarm signal or by pressing the front panel button.
Messages are recorded at the panel through the microphone input (600 ohm, 5mV) or the line input, using the play and record controls with a dedicated record level adjustment. Recording on site rather than sourcing pre-made audio means the message names the actual building and exits.
Output is over 200mV of siren or recorded message for an amplifier or other downstream equipment, running 100Hz-3.4kHz ±3dB — the band that carries best through a noisy, panicked space.
Signal-to-noise is better than 70dB with distortion under 0.1% at 1kHz. The 2U full-metal chassis measures 89 x 483 x 366mm at under 7kg, running from 200-240V AC with fuse protection and 24V DC at under 15W.
