Fire integration unit bridging a fire panel to an IP PA system, with 32 dry contact alarm inputs and one output, triggering pre-recorded evacuation messages automatically.
The AP-N9EFA is the link between fire detection and public address. Thirty-two dry contact inputs accept zone signals from a fire panel, and the unit converts each trigger into the correct broadcast on the IP PA system without an operator in the loop.
Multiple interface units can be networked together where a site has more zones than a single unit covers, so the design scales with the building rather than capping at 32.
A PTT microphone or auxiliary input allows live override, which is what a warden actually needs once an evacuation is underway and the pre-recorded message no longer fits the situation.
One dry contact output feeds back to the panel or other systems. The 1U full-metal chassis is 44 x 483 x 258mm at under 3kg, running from 200-240V AC with fuse protection, rated for -10°C to 60°C.
