Rack-mount telephone interface that answers an incoming call automatically and broadcasts the caller's voice over the PA system, to all zones or a selected zone.
The AP-D405 turns any telephone into a paging microphone. An incoming call on the RJ-11 line is answered automatically after a set number of rings, and the caller's voice is broadcast over the public address system.
Zone targeting means the call can go to the whole site or to a single area, so a manager off site can address one loading dock without disturbing the rest of the building.
A built-in stereo full-range monitor speaker (over 100mW) lets rack-side staff hear what is being broadcast. Ring times are configurable from two to five before answer, which prevents wrong numbers being put over the speakers.
Inputs are one RJ-11 and one microphone (400-775mV); outputs cover audio at 10mV-330V and an active 0V short circuit signal. The 2U full-metal chassis is 89 x 483 x 350mm at under 6kg, on 220-240V AC with 24V DC and fuse protection, drawing under 15W.
