The DS-KAD706Y-P is the hub of a 2-Wire intercom installation, feeding six devices with both signal and power over their two-core runs.
Supplying power down the same pair is what keeps a 2-Wire retrofit simple — no local supply needed at each indoor station, and no second cable pulled to a device that already has one.
Two cascade interfaces chain further distributors (DS-KAD704Y, DS-KAD706Y and DS-KAD706Y-S series), so a building scales by adding units rather than replacing the first one.
Eight interface indicators give a per-port status read at the DIN rail, which turns fault-finding into a glance rather than a continuity test on every run.
Power is 24V DC with consumption under 6W on channels 1-5 and under 16W on channel 6. An RJ-45 interface and a reset button are provided, rated -10°C to 55°C.
