The DS-KAD706Y-SP is the signal-only version of the six-port 2-Wire distributor: devices connect for communication but draw power locally rather than from the distributor.
That is the right choice where the connected devices already have their own supplies, or where cable runs are long enough that voltage drop would make distributor-fed power unreliable. It also keeps the distributor's own thermal load down in a full DIN enclosure.
Two cascade interfaces chain further units in the DS-KAD704Y, DS-KAD706Y and DS-KAD706Y-S series, so capacity grows by adding distributors.
Eight interface indicators show per-port status at the rail for quick fault isolation, with an RJ-45 interface and a reset button.
Power input is 24V DC, DIN rail mounted, rated -10°C to 55°C at 10% to 90% humidity.
